Our Board

Dr. Elizabeth Brooks is a North Carolina native who earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then earned her doctorate of optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While at SCO, she was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Following graduation, Dr. Brooks completed a residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. She lives in North Carolina with her husband Vik, who is also an optometrist, their daughter Emma and their German Shepherd, Luna.

Dr. Vikarma Brooks is an optometrist currently practicing in Raleigh, North Carolina.  He received his Bachelors and Masters in Microbiology from the University of Florida.  He received his Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and completed an Ocular Disease residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.  During optometry school, he was an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO).  Through FCO, he attended overseas mission trips and led men’s bible studies.  He has a passion to reach internationals and unreached people groups with the gospel.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dog. 

 

Joe Drygas has been in ministry with Crossworld formerly UFM International for 33 years.   He held the titles of Business Manager, Director of Operations and now Director of North American ministries and retirees.   Joe graduated from Temple University majoring in marketing and served on the board of the Philadelphia House, a ministry to international students and the Buxmont Torch a sports evangelism ministry.   Joe and his wife Maggie attend Grace Chapel with a burden to reach internationals with the gospel message.

Dr. Donna Elcock is an Optometrist, who has been in private practice (Tri-State Family Eye Care, Inc., Yeadon, PA) since 1996. She

was born in Guyana, South America and graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Canada with a BSc. in Microbiology and Immunology, and graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University), Philadelphia, PA, with a Doctor of Optometry Degree. From a heart of sincere gratitude to God, Donna was led to start Great Faith Vision, using the model Jesus used in teaching and preaching the Gospel and healing in cities and villages (Matthew 9:35). She lives in Media, PA and is an active Member of Delaware Valley Christian Church.

John Elcock is a retired business executive with over 30 years of leadership experience at various national insurance companies where he served in the roles of VP & CIO. In the 1990’s John introduced short-term missions to his home church, Grace Chapel in Havertown, PA and led several teams to locations across the USA and around the world. John graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute, Schroon Lake, NY with a Diploma in Biblical Studies and Concordia University, Montreal, Canada with a BS degree in Math & Computer Science. He lives with his wife Karen in Havertown, PA.  

 

Linda Wasilchick brings 25 years of marketing, communications and fundraising experience in the non-profit industry and local government to the GFV board. She has worked primarily for organizations that help people with intellectual disabilities, and the homeless. Linda is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and holds a Master of Arts degree in Biblical studies from Columbia International University in Columbia, South Carolina. She serves in her local church in women's ministries and as a deacon.
